This earring tree is perfect to hang your earrings on or give as a gift!
This project was inspired by an idea my little brother gave me. I asked him what I should make for my blog, and he replied," A tree!" I thought, What better tree to make than an earring tree!
How To Make
Instructions
For some mysterious reason, the front part of the tree is drooping a bit in the pic. Also, I actually don't have more than one pair of earrings, and those are the studs I got my ears pierced in a few months ago. :) For the photo, I had to borrow two pairs of dangly earrings from my mom. I would have borrowed more, but those were the only two dangly pairs she could find. Obviously this craft is not for someone in my family! The first thing I did to make this was to cut two identical pieces of cardboard out of the toughest cereal box known to mankind. I then cut a REALLY deep slot in each of them, fit them together, and taped up the remaining slot areas, as it turns out you don't need that deep of a slot. I taped the bottom sections of the tree together with painter's tape, and painted right over all that ugly blue mess with brown acrylic paint. It ended up taking two coats of paint. The finished product drives me crazy because it's a bit uneven on the bottom where I pushed the tree together a little too much. And there you have it! An Earring Tree fit for Autumn!
