This simple theater is a fun toy for small children, and very easy to make.
This Kid's Craft is simple enough that you can make it in a few minutes!
What You Need
-empty tissue box
-scissors
-popsicle sticks
-flat wooden toothpicks
-markers
-clear tape
-old towel
-needle and thread or hot glue gun
Instructions
The first thing I did was to remove the plastic from the top of the tissue box.
Next I cut off the back of the box.
After that I Cut two pieces of old towel, tapering them slightly. I then sewed them to the front of the box. You can also use a hot glue gun for this, particularly if you don't have a lot of patience or are in a hurry.
I then rolled the curtains in on themselves to make a tube shape and tied them in the middle with towel scraps.
To make the theater stand up, I placed a large rock in the bottom of the box.
I then moved on to make the puppets. The first thing I did was to marker the faces on.. I used a sharpie for the face instead of a regular marker.
I took the flat toothpicks and broke them into four equal pieces, The long toothpick is in the picture for comparison. I didn't actually use it in the craft.
I used the clear tape to attach two arms to the back of each puppet and drew on the clothes.
The puppets were then ready to go to work in the theater! And there you have it! A simple theater for pretend play!
